A Letter from Christ

Mark 12:41-44 NIV
Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.

Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

We have heard many many times the story of a poor widow with her offering.
But this morning in my devotional, God gave me a new revelation.

This poor widow has no name, no history.
She is not a "famous" person of the bible.
She is not in a condition we all called "blessed"
But I am convinced that she is a true follower of God.
Why? Because she knows how to give

It was not her choice to become a widow.
It was not her choice to be poor at that time.

I am pretty sure that she prayed to God every single day.
Asking Him to deliver her out of her poverty.
Yet, she knew exactly who she was serving.
She gave her best offering, her "security" to God.
She trusted her life to God.

Jesus use her to teach His disciples how to give
Preachers, Pastors use this story to teach God's followers the right attitude in giving.
This story has been told millions even billions of times.

We never knew that happen to her after.
I am sure God honored her heart and her life was guaranteed by her maker.
But I know for sure that she ACCOMPLISHED God's Purpose in her life.
She is a LIVING TESTIMONY.
She accomplished what she was CREATED to be.
She was a letter from Christ

You show and make obvious that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us,
not written with ink but with [the] Spirit of [the] living God,
not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
2 Corinthians 3:3 AMP

We are too letters from Christ.
We need to be aware that we live for Christ
We need to surrender each day to His will
When we live in difficult situations, it is very easy for us to complain and compare
But we need to remind ourselves that Christ is using our lives as parts of His big masterpiece.

So, let's live our lives for Him,
live to the fullest,
living in the moments despite our circumstances.
Believing in His promise "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you" Hebrew 13:5

For His Glory~
